Devil's Chute, Petawawa River

Devil's Chute, Petawawa River
The Petawawa River is a popular white water river in Algonquin Provincial Park.  Although the section between Lake Travers and McManus Lake is a more familiar route, a trip starting at Cedar Lake  will provide a more exhilarating white water challenge.

Camp on the Amable De Fond River
Camp on the Amable De Fond River
Low water levels on the Amable Du Fond and the inclement weather made for an interesting trip from Kiosk to Mattawa. This flat gravel bar and dry night were a welcome relief to this otherwise damp trip.

Pete and Mike On the Batiscan River
Pete and Mike On the Batiscan River
This is a river that flows south of Lac St-Jean, and into the St-Lawrence River. We went to the river by Via Rail, were dropped off, then picked up some 3 days later and returned to Montreal. A great river which you can do by train.

Barron Canyon
The Barron Canyon is out of the way for most visitors but the spectacular views are worth the drive.
