Lower Madawaska River near Quadeville, ON (trip #2)

For those who are unable to participate in the posted trip dated on Sunday, June 30th, here is another opportunity to paddle the Lower Madawaska River or anyone wishing to do it again. This day trip normally lasts between 6 and 9 hours with a total of 8 rapids.

Itinerary
Itinerary description: 

Meeting location will be at the chip stand corner where there is a T-intersection on Saturday, July 19th. Meeting time is 9:00 AM and expect to leave shortly for arrangements to depart to Almond`s Bay put-in. Expected to complete the day trip by late afternoon.

Required Items to Bring: 

reliable PFD to wear, helmet, paddles, air bags and bailers for canoes, throwrope, skirts for enclosed kayaks, your own lunch, water bottle, good footwear, drybags

Recommended Items to Bring: 

comfortable wearing for local temperatures, sunscreen, waterproof camera, change of clothes after trip

How to Get There
Event Directions: 

From Toronto area take Hwy 115 from 401 to Peterborough, east on Hwy 7, turn left onto Hwy 28 to Bancroft, Hwy 28 east of Bancroft becomes as Cty Rd 514 after Hardwood Lake intersection, turn right at stop sign on Cty Rd 515 to Quadeville. For those wishing to camp overnight turn left to Palmer Rapids to camp at Jessop`s Campground or Paddler co-Op.

Carpool Info: 

Depart chip stand intersection in Quadeville to Almond`s Bay put-in, then shuttle vehicles to Buck Bay take-out before returning to put-in for our launching.
