This is a 4-day loop to Nellie Lake, Killarney Provincial Park. Nellie Lake is the clearest lake in Killarney that one can see the bottom through approximately 20 meters of water. Instead of traveling from the popular Bell Lake access point which takes 3-4 days one way to get to Nellie Lake, we will start at the northwest entrance of Killarney PP which is more isolated and far less used than the other access points. The mountain range is more rugged but more scenic than the hills to the south. There are four portages, three of them are difficult: 1745m, 2085m and 1470m. The last one is 210m. The route is: Frood Lake - Grace Lake (1st night) - Nellie Lake (2nd & 3rd night) - Murry lake - Charlton Lake. We leave at around 5:00pm on Friday July 19th. It takes about five hour drive from Toronto to Widgawa Lodge where we will launch the next day. We can either camp at the lodge (a fee will apply) or find a crown land nearby for the night. We expect to end the trip by 5:00pm on Tuesday, July 23rd, then head home. Cost: Food, gas, parking, lodge (if occurred) and the standard interior camping fee. I will ask for a $40 deposit to cover the three-night comping fee when time gets closer to confirm your attendance.
Our traditional exploring of the Minesing Wetlands.
As we always get out starting at Willow creek to Edenvale.
The idea came up to see if we could paddle further on the Nottawassaga River.
After doing more research and trying it out.
This year we are paddling the whole way to Wasaga Beach
But because Spring Paddling is busy for everyone.
We have split it up in 2 days, on 2 different weekends.
Plus this way we can move a day in case the weather doesn't cooperate.
For people who never have done or heard from Minesing Wetlands.
The best part is paddling in a wetland that could be a creek, deep enough to paddle zig zag through. Or if flood is high it could be a big lake and a flooded forest to paddle through.
Either way it is always a fun and exciting trip.
Great for beginners to get out and get to know the WCA family and lay contacts for future trips
June 3 - June 14, 2019 - possible to extend 2 days - depending on inclement weather plus 4-5 days travelling as it is close to 2000 km by car.
If weather works out we're planning to fly in to Artery Lake June 3 from Red Lake
- flight is discussed with airshuttle already
Route is not exactly in detail yet.
But will stick on Flat water and portage white water if there is any.
Goal is to see pictographs, cave, waterfall and wild life. Route will be mainly on Flatwater.
going South in WCPP - would like to visit Mexican Hat Falls and Aegan Lake - caves.
Getting out on Johnson or Leano Lake
More details and adjustments to come as we go and get ready for our trip in 5 months!!!!

Come join me paddle Duffins Creek Ajax The creek's headwaters start in the Oak Ridges Moraine located in Uxbridge flows all the way down to Lake Ontario in Ajax.
Looking for 1 or 2 people to enjoy a relaxed, easy time on a single site. Hour or less paddle to 2 possible sites. Sites are unreservable. BYO gear, food, boat, etc. Spend days exploring the area, hiking, etc. Easy put in.
This very popular annual trip seems to be a great draw for all levels of paddlers. We are now into the 13th year doing this and we’ve enjoyed perfect weather (most times), portage free paddling, and a social barbeque that has followed our outing. This is a wonderful day to enjoy an easy moving water river and to socialize with other WCA’ers. The trip will start in south Cambridge where we will put in and then paddle to Paris. We will pass through scenic farm country, stop at a haunted mill, negotiate some easy grade one water, and stop for lunch along the way. Those interested are welcome to join us back at our house in Cambridge for some food, beverage, and social time.
