Itinerary description: 

Why not celebrate Killarney Provincial Park 50th birthday with a combination canoe / hiking trip to take in the fall colours. On Thursday afternoon; we will carpool north to George Lake Campground in Killarney Provincial Park. First thing Friday morning; we will canoe into Killarney Lake and to set up base camp. There will be opportunities on Saturday to hike up to 'The Crack' and/or take a short canoe trip into OSA Lake to take in all the fall colours. Note that there are several options to getting up to 'The Crack'. A couple of options include complete loops with either more canoeing or more hiking depending on what the group decides. On Sunday we will make our way back out to the George Lake access point.
Total Canoeing Distance: 22 km’s plus any distance done for the optional excursions
Number of Portages: 4 (80m, 380m, and same two portages on way back out). Notes: This trip involves group meals for both breakfast and dinner. Lunches and snacks will be by individual participants. Canoeing Experience: Novice -interested participants should be confident paddlers. Portaging Experience: Easy - Bring more luxury items!

Approximately 750 km's round trip. Departure time is 12:00 p.m. from a location north of Toronto (possibly the carpool lot at intersection highway 9 & 400 ). Approximately $.025/km per person.
